TED Talks

A couple of days ago I was reading the interview of the new American Ambassador to Sweden on thelocal.se (don’t ask).

I won’t go into details about the interview itself. The Ambassador pointed to an interesting concept I have never heard of before – The TED Talks. As the “About TED” page says:

TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design.

Basically, there is a list of short videos on various topics that promote “ideas worth spreading”. The talks themselves are really inspiring, would recommend them to anyone. Definitely a good way to spend your time and the battery of your smartphone while commuting work/home.

Thx Mr. Ambassador 😉

  1. Roman: Thank you for your TED posting and for taking the time to share TED with your readers. I was inspired by TED to create the site videotalks.org which links to dozens of TED-like sites. If you like TED I am sure you’ll enjoy other sites linked to mine. Please keep up the good work of periodically mentioning TED to your readers. Jim Melfi
